Your tasks:
Muhlbauer, Inc., headquartered in Newport News, Virginia, seeks Field Service Engineers to work at unanticipated location(s) in the U.S. They will install semiconductor (die sorting/chip attach) equipment and provide maintenance, training and troubleshooting services for these machines.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to install technologically advanced machines and systems produced by the Mühlbauer Group.
- Install machine components, including positioning, aligning, and connecting modules, wiring cables, leveling all components, and ensuring all modules are installed in the appropriate sequence in accordance with the engineering design developed by Mühlbauer.
- Calibrate machine parts, including SERVO Controller Driver boards, Bachmann PLC module, Bondhead and Flipper assembly modules, to ensure all parts of the machine work properly. Ensure sensors are calibrated so they are ready for activation.
- Configure software for PLC and Machine GUI (Graphical Interface Unit).
- Test machines, using appropriate testing equipment and software and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine the need for adjustment. Ensure all machine processes are working properly.
- Train customers on operation, process development and maintenance procedures for Mühlbauer machines and systems.
- Evaluate machine performance while troubleshooting various systems and recommend remedial actions needed for proper operation.
- Monitor maintenance schedule(s) and ensure maintenance services are provided according to the machines’ technical specifications and they are meeting Mühlbauer’s high quality design and engineering standards.
- Provide process engineering support for production on as needed basis.
- Provide engineering expertise for hotline support to customers.
- Complete appropriate documentation and provide feedback for service interventions.
- Ensure all applicable procedures are followed.
