Technical Writer (m/f/d)
- Develop clear and comprehensive user guides, technical manuals and API documentation that effectively communicate complex software concepts to a diverse audience
- Work closely with software developers, product managers and subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation
- Organize and structure documentation for easy navigation and accessibility, ensuring that information is logically presented
- Review and edit existing documentation for accuracy, clarity, and completeness, and update as needed
- Maintain version control of documentation to align with software releases and updates
- Create diagrams, screenshots, and other visual aids to enhance understanding of technical concepts when necessary
- Conduct quality assurance checks on documentation to ensure consistency and adherence to company standards
- Collect and incorporate user feedback to continually improve documentation
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a technical writer in the software development industry
- Strong knowledge of software development concepts and terminology
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus
